Hello. My Name Is . . . : An Instructable

We love our parties in New Orleans, Louisiana!  We celebrate crawfish, jazz, and good old Southern decadance!  As far as I can tell, every Monday seems to be a holiday in Merida, Yucatan!  Here, we celebrate our gardeners, Vietnamese immigrants, and the Blessed Virgin!  Less than 600 miles apart, these two cities know how to have a good time, Baby!  

Of course, I LOVE the month of March!  I get to celebrate my birthday and other WOMEN!  During the whole month of March I'll be accepting birthday bribes, but most of all, I'll be expecting YOU to shout out to the women in your life because on March 8th, we will be celebrating the 101 year anniversary of  International Women's Day.  WOW!

I would like all the Broads, and that includes the men, to help me create a Signature Quilt!  Let's commence the piecing.  Here is how it works.  Below  is a group of altered images I downloaded through an Internet search.  You can download images or use your own photographs.  

INSTRUCTIONS

• Create a folder on your desktop.  Name it Quilt
• Add any number of images to your new folder.  You only need one to participate.
• To alter your image use Picnik, a free image editor.  I've linked "Picnik" to its' homepage.  
• After you have had your fun, be sure to save your image in the Quilt folder with a new name.  For example, the "Hello.  My Name Is..." image was saved through Picnik as "Hello Broad.jpg".  Always add .jpg to the end of your image name. 

OPTIONS

For those who want to submit several images, it is time to collage.  Ignore the instructions given to you by Picnik.  They are too complicated.  

• Hit this link: Picnik Collage.

• At the bottom of the collage page, it ask you to download images.  Select From My Computer.  Download your first image.  Click on that image and drag it to the quilt collage square, found in the center of the screen, initially appearing black.  Now download the next image.  Repeat these steps until you have filled up your quilt square.  
• Save!

SUBMIT  

Visit News From A Broad on Facebook.  As on any other FB page, add your photo to the News From A Broad wall.  I'll collage all the images and post them on March 8, 2012.
