There is a restaurant chain here called Pollo Feliz. They have several "chickens" out in front of the restaurant to greet and do silly things. I would LOVE to dress up as a chicken........for a few hours! I think it would be a hoot, oops, cackle.

I've always loved the plump little pharmacist-doctor on the streets of Mexico. And yet I've been saddened to see the explosion in humans-as-signs-on-street-corners here in the US. Nearly every one I've seen appears to be age 50+ ... that seems to be the age group hit hardest by this unending recession (I know the stats say it's ending, but it isn't, at least among middle-aged-plus people). It's the job of the future, renting out your body to a tax preparer or a restaurant or whatever. Boo. Very discouraging.

One more reason to come to Merida, Lynette! Dr. Simi is a cutie! I took pictures with him last Carnaval.
